 Implications and Expectations of the 7 Variants of the Polyvagal Complex 

 

 

A deeper dive into the understanding of behaviors and the implications of the 3 states of the autonomic nervous system and additional 4 hybrid variants of the Polyvagal complex.

How to recognize and identify these states within us and in others to better support ourselves and others in health and life from a deeper understanding.

 

 A 2-part workshop or webinar: The workshop is offered over 1.5 or 2 days. The webinar is offered over 2 webinars (90 minutes each). 

 

Part 1:

Webinar 1 you will learn these 7 states. How and when they take over the body with involuntary reactivity and behaviors. This can lead to compromised health, limiting capacity for healthy relationships and the distortion of how we see ourselves, others, the world around us and how others see us. This can have an enormous impact on our lives and the 

potential for a successful and peaceful life.  

 The ‘4 hybrid states’ of the vagal nerve complex offer us a way to perceive and understand the sometimes seemingly unexplainable behavior of others and ourselves. Understanding these more complexed physiological systems and their unique behaviors helps us to best support the body and mind to return to a place of homeostasis, where healing, recovery, balance and conscious choice is available, enabling us to live a self- chosen life. 

  

Part 2:  Attendance to part 2 requires the attendance of part 1: 

Following on from the information given in webinar 1, you will learn to work with tactile tools and interoception to support self-regulation, the rhythms of regulation, vagal tone and the coherence of mind body and spirit.

This self-regulating capacity helps others around you to find homeostasis too, where co-regulation, social engagement, connection, motivation, intimacy and healing can happen.  Where we, others and the world are experienced differently. The tactile tools can be used on yourself as well as on others.
